The person behind the code
I'm Nahum Jacob Ondangan — an I.T. and full-stack developer who enjoys building cool things for the web. I got into tech out of curiosity, messing around with stuff just to see how it worked. Now I get to do the same thing — but with slightly fewer broken computers.
I’m based in Abu Dhabi, UAE, and I work mostly with React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Node.js. My focus is on writing clean, efficient code and creating websites that feel smooth, modern, and actually enjoyable to use.
When I’m not coding, I’m probably deep in a game, lost in YouTube rabbit holes, or convincing myself that “resting” counts as productivity.
My Time as an I.T Intern at NYUAD
Rebus Technology Solutions • 2025 - Present
Focused on designing user interfaces for Rebus’s construction application and websites — creating clean, functional layouts and improving the overall user experience.
NYUAD • 2022 - 2023
Supported the university’s IT infrastructure, assisted with system maintenance, and gained hands-on experience with enterprise tools and troubleshooting.
British University Ajman • 2022 - 2024
Bachelor's degree focusing on strategic management, operations, and business analytics with technology integration.
Continuous Learning • 2019 - Present
Constantly learning new technologies through online courses, documentation, and hands-on projects.
I believe great software isn’t just about clean code or flashy tech — it’s about actually helping people. If a feature doesn’t make someone’s life easier, faster, or a little less annoying, then what’s the point? My goal is to build things that look good, work well, and don’t make users want to throw their devices.
"The best code doesn’t just run — it behaves itself in production (most of the time)."
The tools and technologies I use to turn ideas into working, real-world projects
Right now, I’m in full grind mode — designing, building, and occasionally questioning my life choices (in a good way). I’ve got four major side projects on the horizon, each one pushing me to design smarter and build cleaner. My main focus at the moment? Project Echo — a Spotify-like music app that’s all about streaming, sharing, and discovering sound in style.
TL;DR: I’m in my “build everything and make it beautiful” era. From designing Project Echo to refining every corner of my portfolio, it’s all about leveling up, experimenting, and having fun doing it — one late-night design session at a time.
